Our Story

Titan Arms & Ammunition was established in 1997 and proudly brings over 25 years of experience in the firearm industry. Our journey began with the acquisition of the BKB Gun Shop in Mobeni. As the business grew, we relocated to

Chamberlain Road in Jacobs, where we operated successfully for five years. With the continued expansion of our services to include a fully accredited training centre and indoor shooting range, Titan Arms permanently relocated to our current premises in Amanzimtoti, situated in the former ABSA Bank building in the Toti CBD.

Today, Titan Arms has become one of the largest independent gun shops in Durban, offering a complete range of firearm-related products and services under one roof. From firearm sales and licensing assistance to accredited training, shooting courses, and professional guidance, our knowledgeable team is committed to providing exceptional service while promoting responsible firearm ownership.

Our founder, Brian Amm, dedicated his life to the firearm industry, working with firearms since 1965 and serving as an armourer in three different armed forces. His remarkable expertise ranged from the latest modern firearms to historic military firearms and antiques dating back to the World Wars. His passion, knowledge, and commitment laid the foundation for the trusted reputation Titan Arms enjoys today.

Scott Austin Amm
Director & Owner Scott Austin Amm began his career in February 1989 at the Anti-Aircraft School of 10 Anti-Aircraft Regiment during his national service. Following his military service, he pursued studies in Hotel and Business Management, developing specialised knowledge in human resources, facilities management, business operations, and accounting practices. His diverse management experience equipped him with the leadership and operational skills required to successfully oversee a growing business. In 2016, at the request of Titan Arms founder Brian Amm, Scott joined Titan Arms as Business Manager, where he played a key role in the company's daily operations, strategic growth, and customer service excellence. Following Brian Amm's passing on 18 January 2024, Scott assumed leadership of the business as Managing Director and Owner. Today, he continues to uphold Titan Arms' longstanding reputation for professionalism, integrity, compliance, and exceptional customer service while leading the company into its next chapter. Scott remains committed to ensuring Titan Arms continues to provide expert advice, quality products, accredited firearm training, and outstanding service to the firearm community throughout KwaZulu-Natal and beyond.
